Van Ru Credit corporation did not fulfill their part of our agreement. The representative for Van Ru Credit corporation acted as an agent for the ISUZU motor corporation and outlined terms of a settlement agreement for my repossed ISUZU Rodeo.

I was to pay two (2) equal payments of $2827.48 to satisfy my obligations to Isuzu Motors. Once these payments were recieved, Van Ru stated, in writing, that the account will be reported to the credit reporting agencies as a "paid settlement". I paid this $5654.97 to Van Ru Corporation and received conformation letters to the effect, but they never reported to the credit agencies that the account was now a "paid settlement".

I have all of the letters and payment conformation to support my case. Van Ru Credit corporation did not give me the service that I paid for. They now refuse any responsibility whatsoever and will not take my calls. I want my money back. Does anyone know what I can do to either get them to finish their job, or refund my money???

Isn't That A Violation Of The Fair Credit Reporting Act

AUTHOR: Kathie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 02, 2007

If you have the letter and proof you paid off this debt, then I agree send a letter of complaint to the original creditor, a copy of your complaint to Van Ru and a copy of it to all the CB's, the States Attorney General's Office and the FTC, if you by law paid it, then I think your credit report has to reflect that, if not then it's my understanding that it's a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, if indeed it is deemed a violation than it's a $2500 dollar fine....Good luck and keep us informed....

Van Ru is trash, learn to protect yourself

AUTHOR: Zach - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 08, 2007

Naturally this collection agent is going to do whatever it takes to part you from your money. Get educated and you can easily whip thier azz. Search the Internet for creditboards. Everything you want to know about how to defend yourself against the scum is RIGHT THERE!

You could also retain a lawyer and with the correct documentation, you could so easily foce them to correct this.

DO NOT give up.

Van Ru Does Not Purchase Accounts

AUTHOR: Isabella - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 07, 2007

Van Ru Corp, does not purchase accounts. They are under contract with the creditors. Everything returns to the client. Once you had settled on that account, and paid every penny of the settlement offer, and have recieved the settlement in full letter, there is really nothing that Van Ru could do. My suggestion is to contact the Creditor they are the ones who have the authority to change anything onto your credit report.

Not debt purchaser

AUTHOR: D - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 10, 2006

Van Ru does not purchase accounts. They work, under contract, for (in this case), Isuzu. My guess is by now the situation is resolved. The CBR has been fixed; ergo, no update from consumer in 2 years.

bottom Feeder?

AUTHOR: Christian - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 05, 2006

You need to reread a couple of your own statements to see if they make sense to you>
First you said:

"I was to pay two (2) equal payments of $2827.48 to satisfy my obligations to Isuzu Motors."

That statement proves that you agree that you were in default with Isuzu Motors and a 3rd Party company had to be hired in order to convince you to make good on your promise to pay.

Later you said:

"I want my money back."

This statement seems to indicate that failing to clear your credit record of this long overdue bill of $5654.96 is worse then you running from it.

Third party collection agencies need to employ people who are tough. They need to deal with debtors who see themselves as more important than people who pay their bills voluntarily because they gave their word to do so.

Bottom feeders by my definition, are those people who attempt to run from their debts.

Incorrect-VanRu IS a bottom feeder

AUTHOR: Jenifer - (U.S.A.)

Just go to Bud Hibbs website...they have made his list for the agency watchlist....they ARE bottom-feeders and they DO buy accounts for pennies on the dollar.

Technically, they're right

AUTHOR: J - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 13, 2006

Many 3rd party collection agencies do not directly report payments to your credit report, or credit reporting agencies. Instead this is left up to the client... in this case Isuzu. All Van Ru does is get your current phone number, call you, set up a payment arrangment or settlement agreement (depanding on the debt and circumstances)and take the money. In turn they report each payment recieved rather it be every day, every week or every month. All payments are reported to the original lender and it is left up to them to report to the credit agencies. Your beef should be with Isuzu and not with Van Ru. If Van Ru had purchased your debt, then it would be their fault. From my understanding, they only work for companies, they do not buy debts to collect on.
