Washington Mutual Bank accounts frozen scheduled for closure Huntington Beach California

It's a shame most people read these pages AFTER they've been ripped-off. Washinton Mutual of Hunting Beach, CA was forzen my bank accounts and scheduled them for closre due to suspicious activity. The suspicious activity happened to be my very first usage of my ATM card which was used to deposit (not withdraw) funds into my account.

I did manage to get someone on the phone from "loss prevention" who informed my that my deposit was unusually large compared to the small initial deposit made when I opened the account. There action was to freeze the account.

WARNING: Read through this web site, there are others with stories exactly like mine. The scary thing is Washington Mutual will freeze your accounts without ANY notification to you meaning you could be writing checks on a frozen account which could get you in financial hot water pretty quickly.

When asked why, they will always say the same thing "it's within our leagl rights to do so". The scary thing is it's true.

I have dealt with many banks and let me tell you free checking does not offset the feeling of lying in bed at night wondering if and when Washington Mutual is going to deem your behaviour and freeze all of your assets.

They did it to me for making a check deposit to my checking account, and I honestly can't think of a less suspicious thing to do at a bank.
