This company and individual are posting ads in Craigslist seeking Option Agent partners to sell For Sale By Onwer properties. You are directed to a website optionagents.com to watch a presentation given by Keith who misleads you into thinking you are going to parter up to sell FSBO properties within days and make thousands of dollars. You are then directed at the end of the presentation to a section that shows this is a membership where you actually have to pay 10.00 per month.

You are also told NOT to contact Keith about this offer. In responding to thier "Job" Posting and asking for them to show proof of any real estate deals done in the past 3 months, you are then told they are not agents. In the website it says they are a nationwide network of agents, investors and stay at home Mom's and Dad's. This is not a job or even biz opportunity offer, its a scam to lure in people across the country to give up 10.00 per mont based on deception. At the end, this company claims only to be providing training. They start in the job section and then end up as educators selling memberships. Total SCAM.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

OptionAgents Is Definitely Not A Scam

AUTHOR: Keith - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, December 02, 2012

The person who filed this report I imagine means well, but he really could not be further from the truth.
Let me take his assertions one by one

Assertion 1:  You are directed to a website optionagents.com to watch a presentation given by Keith who misleads you into thinking you are going to parter up to sell FSBO properties within days and make thousands of dollars.

Rebuttal:  If you view the video you will see for yourself that all that I do is indicate that our
members are sometimes in need of people to show our homes, and by partnering with them you could earn generous compensation.  This is 100% true, so Im not sure what else can be said in our defense.

Assertion 2:  You are then directed at the end of the presentation to a section that shows this is a membership where you actually have to pay 10.00 per month.

Rebuttal:  The main video itself tells the viewer our members so no sleight of hand there.  Also, the redirect page after the video gives a FREE 3 day membership with no need for a credit card or anything else.  Not sure where the crime is there.

Assertion 3:  You are also told NOT to contact Keith about this offer. In responding to thier "Job" Posting and asking for them to show proof of any real estate deals done in the past 3 months, you are then told they are not agents. In the
website it says they are a nationwide network of agents, investors and stay at home Mom's and Dad's. This is not a job or even biz opportunity offer, its a scam to lure in people across the country to give up 10.00 per mont based on deception.

Rebuttal:  I am a realtor, not a full time educator.  I could not possibly offer my time for less than $10 per month per client.  I would literally jeopardize my familys financial security to do that.   I questioned whether to make this available to
folks because I did not want to charge much and it could be a big distraction for me.  So, I decided to offer it for
just $10 per month (with a free 3 day trial so nobody could possibly get duped by the way) and let folks know up front that there is no customer service with regard to the training, just technical support if needed.  Its the only way I could afford to do this.  And you know what, most people were great with it and even though people got a free trial they voluntarily
signed up afterwards anyway. Clearly they saw the value.  I give full disclosure before the sale and hide nothing so it bothers me a great deal that somebody who does not like this would distort the truth so much.
