Westgate Resorts ripoff bait and switch scam false information Kissimmee Florida

My wife and I went to florida for our honeymoon. Found a decent deal on the net, 2 prices were shown, one with presentation, one without. Of course I decided to go without and paid more for the room. 5 star they claim.

Come to find out on our second day they give us a presentation, they called it a 'maintaince report'. Come to find out they offered us a timeshare for $34 a month for 5 years, bi-yearly. I figured that was nice, hell for $34 may as well look at a little nicer one. Oopse big mistake.

Come to find out the salesman made a mistake with the $34 but didn't find that out till later. Now typically I would have left long ago but what got me was the fact they offered to use my $900 worth of room towards my timeshare purchase. After 9 hours (yes 9 hours) we go to close on something much spendier than the $34 and they refuse to use my $900 room fee as it wasn't a NEW unit. Ok fine, they will take out $200, come to find out as I was signing papers not even the $200 came out of my room.

I filed with the BBB. They denied that I paid that much for my room, and that I only had 3 complaints with my room (spoke with the day manager and had given him a 2 page list of complaints including chipped paint, warped dishes painted mirrors, cleaning staff walking in my room at midnight with my wife and I in the other room, glass covers falling from the ceiling in the shower being locked out of my room at midnight because they can't code their keys, and not even security could get in after almost an hour wait etc etc.) the list goes on.

lots of promises. You would be better off taking the $450+ in maintaince fees and getting another room. I have seen people trying to sell their units (mine valued at supposedlt 12,000+) for as low as $2000 Its all a scam, wonder how much the 'founder' knows, or even endorces.
