WLI Reservations Rewards CT And WLI Shopper Discount CT Made two unauthorized charges to my credit card Shelton Connecticut

When I logged into my credit card account to pay my bill , I discovered two charges made by WLI Reservations CT for $10 and WLI Shopper Discount CT also for $10. Since I knew that I had not used my credit card at all during the past 60 days, I began to research this company name on the internet. The first thing I came across in my "search' was Ripoff Reports explaining how this company had placed unauthorized charges onto others' credit cards.

I have contacted my credit card company, but since it is the weekend, I will need to file a formal written complaint/dispute on Monday morning. I also tried to contact this WLI corporation via phone and was unable to speak with anyone, again because it is the weekend.

I will be filing written, email, and verbal complaints against this company with my credit card company; since they seem to have quite a reputation for ripping off people, I have no doubt my credit card company will remove the charges. I have also requested a new credit card account so that this breached information is obsolete.

I also intend to contact the corporation via phone, and will be sending a follow up letter to complain. I don't think illegal practices should be tolerated, and since I am a paralegal and I don't take kindly to people taking advantage of me, I am filing a written complaint with the Better Business Bureau in CT, in my home state, and in the state where my credit card company home office does business . I will also be filing formal compaints with the Attorney General in CT, my home state, and my credit card corporations's state of business.

I think companies who engage in illegal business practices need to be pursued and made aware of the fact that their fradulent acts will not be tolerated by consumers, or by the law. We pay for their illegal acts indirectly. I am sure the cost of manpower involved in resolving these types of issues is a cost passed on to those of us who use credit cards and conduct our business legally.

I am not entirely sure how they retrieved my information since I have not booked through Expedia.com as some others who were victimized by this company. But I did travel a few months ago and made my hotel reservations with the credit card they put their bogus charges onto. I am going to ask the hotel chain and my credit card company to determine if there is some way they retrieved my information through these legitimate hotel charges.

I appreciate the fact that this website exists to help inform people and give us a starting point in our pursuit of such companies and their unethical business practices.
