Wonderspace Tech Camp (WST/Camperoo) Horrible Management, Horrible Summer, Horrible Treatment of Employees Houston Texas

All the previous allegations on here so far about Wonder-Space have been true.

The camp is cheap, under-staffed and very unorganized. They hire counselors last minute, giving them a Skype interview (with their skype often malfunctioning). They hire off of craigslist, usually recent high school grad or early college students so that they can under-pay them. They often "forget" to pay counselors and lie to them about the value of their paycheck. They rarely answer email complaints. 2 people run the entire camp, and they operate in 8 locations accross the US. Their camp is very expensive yet it provides little value. Most of the day is spent playing games and the kids are rarely supervised.

The curriculum they give to counselors are ripped off the web, and often have little content to them. Most of the time counselors are forced to learn the day before through Youtube tutorials and the kids usually follow the tutorials with them. Counselors are often hired if they just have a hint of skills with any technology, not necessarily what they teach. They let go counselors by not scheduling them for the rest of the summer, since their are no contracts, and then often tell them that they owe money to the company and do not pay them the rest of what is owed.

If you aren't worried about money, then working their is a good learning experience about how a business should not be run. If you are worried, do not work their or send your kids there. The credit card/bank info you give them is very unsecured, stored in word and excel documents on a google drive. It is a horrible company!
