World Institute of Surgical Excellence is on a big campaign of "hiring" independent contrators charging as much as $2500 to allow you to particiapate in the pyramid compensation scheme. They even charge doctors $2500 to be a participating physician. They supposedly had 48000 patiwnts travel to.costa rica last year but when you try and find references all you find is their "job" opportinities across the company. It appears they are making their money from recruiting people and.doctors and not patients.

Part scam-Part Vision?

AUTHOR: patmo - ()

POSTED: Thursday, September 19, 2013

I also was accepted into WISE MD as a senior consultant after lengthy interviews and confernce calls. The idea of medical tourism by qualified doctors in a caring, vacation like setting seemed too good to be true--just what the world needed. But alas, it all was just that--a vision. I really felt that the core company in Costa Rica was on the level, but it was next to impossible to reach them by phone--everyone had an internet phone that only left a message. Here in the states, Cole Cloyd semed a little too greedy to get my 2500.00 to set up a website--to Anthony Kings credit

( he resides in Costa Rica, and ran the company from there) he understood when I said that the website means nothing without people being led to it, and that my team of sales professionals here in the US would do a better job soliciting business directly from the unions and doctors we network with, and rather than have me pay for a website set up by Cole Cloyd, they should pay us directly the salaries and perks promised in the many jobsites they posted on--and Anthony agreed,

although that never came to be, as the company folded soon thereafter. In reviewing all that transpired since, and along with the fact that everyone associated with WISE has cancelled their cell phones and contact info, it seems that I was lucky not to have agreed to send Mr. Cloyd any money--although he made daily calls to see if I would up unitil the closing. It is truly a shame, as I feel their concept was agreat one, and one that I would loved to have helped bring to reality. I wish Mr King and his partners in Costa Rica well, and hope this idea may have its day.

Understand Business Investment

AUTHOR: investigator - ()

POSTED: Sunday, June 02, 2013

I understand a business investment but I am firm with my first anaylsis of this situation and apparently it must have been true if WISE is no longer exisits. I do not understand if they had over 40,000 patients last year then they would not be gone today. When I did my due diligence on this company I could not find many patient references whcih is odd to have that many supposed patients in one year. It also speak volumes to their promoting that each region would have their own broadcast journalist to promote, if that were the case then there should have been more stories about the success of the medical tourism would have been easliy found thoruhg searches. I stand by my first analysis that I believe while the medical tourism concept is a great idea, the way that they were going about it was an apparent pyramid scheme to recruit many people and doctors to participate then the patients seemed to be second. This is my observation and I do understand the process of this "selection" and interviews, doesn't really matter now does it? Based on my knowledge and gut feeling apparently I was right and there were problems with the organization.

WISEr

AUTHOR: jccash777 - ()

POSTED: Saturday, June 01, 2013

As of the evening of May 29, 2013 WISE no longer exists.  The concepts of helping people through "medical toourism" were great.  Unfortunately, the core group of leaders have gone their own way and now those who have put so much on the line in time, energy, money and reputation are left with the mess.  This demise will rest on Cole Cloyd coming clean with how he let this get to this point without communicatng to his leaders and becoming WISEr in the process.  My heartfelt sorrow goes out to all of those like myself who really saw some true hope for providing a part of a solution for the US healthcare crisis we are now in..  My prayers go out to all who have been effected by this.  I believe that the original core of compassion for those in need in the U.S.will arise and that the "pura vida" mindset of Costa Rica shall prevail.

every business has a startup fee

As an Independent Contractor, I selected the Senoir Executive Consultant position with WISE.  No one tried to set me up on a pyramid. Been there seen it and done it.  The process was very professional, its not a "give me position".  I went through a resume selection and a two part interview explaing everthing up front. I knew this position would require training and a website.  The $2495 fee mentioned in this report is for a CHOSEN Regional Managing Partner.

It includes a website and the training required to do the job. The company works very hard to equip all positions in a very professional matter.  If you know the HIPPA laws you would know you can't just DISPLAY peoples private medical manners. The fees charged have opened up indepth training as a "medical tourism facilitator", I have been very busy going through all the manuals and training webinars. Nothing worth while is free.
