I was browsing the website, and then I put through my credit card, but then decided not to order. I don't know what but their fraud prevention software or maybe they did it on purpose. I check a week later and I have $500.00 added to my Credit Card.

I did not contact them because I simply do not trust what their running over there.

It could be them that did the charge or it could have been a hacker, whatever it was, don't shop there.

I'm so frustrated! I filed a report with my Credit Card company.

#3 Consumer Comment

Loyal Customer of Olympustoys.com

AUTHOR: Darintoys - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, October 06, 2011

I did a google search to pull up my favorite toystore.  Yes I am a LOYAL olympustoys.com shopper (they have my favorite organics lube plus half a dozen toys I have bought from the site).  This person is obviously disgruntled about something else.  Like #1 why wouldnt you call a 1-800 number to ask a question on why you have been charged.  #2 why would you think it was Olympustoys.com that charged your card?? I called the 1-800 number immediately and spoke with the owner Johnathan (btw the owner picks up the phone becuase they are small and family owned) Johnathan assured me that this was frivelous that as soon as the complaint was launched olympustoys received an email from a canadian based company asking for money to remove the complaint (he even sent me a copy of the email).  Johnathan was heart broken that someone would try and tarnish the companies good name.  He stated that the only reason him and his partner opened this business was to offer fair prices for products they loved.  In addition I asked my boyfriend (who is a computer programmer to check the security of the site) if you right click on the check out you will see that the checkout page where you put the credit card info is encrypted at 128bit (high).

Please remember

Please remember. I never stated that the company charged my credit card. I did say and provided an image that their website is unsafe, and that hacker or someone charged my credit card.

I can provide an image of the charge on my credit card statement if needed. However it is clear with my browser telling me that the website is unsafe and I shouldn't have continued. The fault is on me, but I thought I should have reported it so no one else gets scammed.

I am Johnathan the owner of Olympustoys.com.  Rip Off Reports is a SCAM!!!! Olympustoys.com has NEVER done business with this person.  WE are encrypted at the top level of security.  In fact when we received this complaint we received an email from a company (see below) asking you to PAY to have this report removed.  If you want it removed by Rip Off reports you must pay 2000.00 (see below).  WE are a small company and overhead is hard.  It is sad that a company that we trust such as Rip Off Reports would take advantage of small businesses such as ours.  This economy is already hard.  SHAM ON YOU!!!!!

(COMPANYS EMAIL)

We have contracted with private arbitrators who have extensive experience, including experienced judges in court. Once the program builds momentum, we will add other highly qualified arbitrators to our panel.

You submit a written arbitration statement identifying the false statements in the report, or explaining that the report was posted by a competitor pretending to be a customer. You are also given the opportunity to support your position with documented evidence and/or sworn affidavits. There is a filing fee of $2,000 to pay for the arbitrator's time and for administration of the program.

The author of the report is then given the opportunity to respond and you are given the opportunity to reply.

The arbitrator then reviews all of the submissions and renders a written decision.

This decision will be posted into the title of the Report.

In the event that the arbitrator determines that the Report is true, there will be no updates or changes to the website. If the Arbitrator finds that statements in the report are false, the title of the report will be updated, posting this phrase BEFORE the original title: "Notice of Arbitrator Decision: A neutral and independent arbitrator has determined that the following Report contained one or more false statements of fact. The false statements have been redacted."

The arbitrator's decision will be posted in its entirety after the title and before the original content of the report. Any statements of fact that the arbitrator determines to be false will be redacted from the original report.

If you think this program may be right for you and you would like more information, e-mail us here to request a copy of the complete rules and an arbitration agreement. arbitration@ripoffreport.com

Comment from Ripoff Report

The above rebuttal is a complete lie. Ripoff Report does not send out an email about the Arbitration Program unless someone contacts us about it.. Ripoff Report has always had a uniform policy to NOT remove Reports. So, no amount of money could ever get Ripoff Report to remove a report. Clearly from what the author posted above about the Arbitration program, it says nothing about the Removal of any report. Go to my website and read more about this. http://www.edmagedson.com/did-you-know.aspx
