My wife bought me a certificate from xperience days for christmas back in 2006 (yes, it has taken me this long to become fed-up with xperience days), which I have not been able to use despite my many tries. I have attempted several times to book my day, but each time the xperience days team ran into some snag or another. Either the xperience day was cancelled due to no attendance, they booked me in a full day instead of the half day and had to cancel, or they just plain didn't respond to my requests to schedule.

Now, after chasing them for over a year, I requested a refund (since my experience is was no longer offered). I spoke with the president of xperience days, and she insists that they have made every effort to book my event, but that I'm to blame! Instead of a refund, she offered to book me for something in December. Unbelievable.
If you want to do something cool, go directly to the source of the event - the overhead you pay xperience days will just be a waste of money. They offer very poor customer service and don't deliver on what they sell. Good thing gift certificates don't expire in CA! I have a feeling this is going to take a while...

I love their company motto: "Xperience Days is an exciting new company that was formed in 2004. We believe that gifts should be given, received and above all else Xperienced". Yeah right, they believe your gift should be xperienced...

Gift Certificate Still Worth Original Value Despite Customer Delays

AUTHOR: Robb Young - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Without resorting to the same kind of sensationalism and platitudes as Mr P; it's pertinent to point out the facts in this case.

This gift certificate was purchased in November 2006. On May 28th 2007 Mr P contacted Xperience Days via our online system to check availability and reserve the date of the driving experience. On the 29th May we left a telephone message for Mr P to request he provide us with his height and weight, as this is a requirement from our partners at the driving school (Jim Russell Racing). Two weeks later (June 11th) Mr P returned our call, at which time we also advised that the dates he had requested were for a full day racing, rather than the half day program which he had a certificate for. On the 16th July, 26 days after this conversation we cleared the request from our booking system as we had still not heard back from our customer with his new corrected dates.

On the 10th August Mr P finally got back to us to request a new date for the experience. He asked for 10th September, which as Mr P correctly claims was sold out. This could be described as a 'snag' but we honestly explained that the date was not available and that he was welcome to book another date in the future. The certificate was and is still valid for the original value.

The next time that Mr P contacted us was on the 10th September 2008; more than a full year since we last spoke. The customer is absolutely correct that we offered to reserve him for a date this December, rather than refund him. I'm not entirely sure I understand this aspect of the complaint. We offered to reserve a date more than two years after the certificate was purchased and that is unbelievable to Mr P? When there are plenty of other genuine scam artists out there and a company such as ours tries our best to fulfil our obligation we seem to be chastised. I firmly believe we offer amazing customer service and I invite anyone to call or email us to find out. Every message is returned, every email is answered and every situation and complaint is addressed (such as this one).

Finally I would like to reiterate: Mr P still has a certificate worth exactly what was paid for it ($595) and he is welcome to still use it, or exchange it for anything on our site up to the same value. If that is such poor service then I genuinely don't know what else we could do.
