H&R Block Tax Preparation tallahassee, Florida

I spent the $30 for PEACE OF MIND.  HR Block did not do my taxes correctly and I'm now being hounded by the IRS.  I have spent many many hours on the phone (both with IRS and HR Block) trying to sort things out.  I have been back into the HR Block office and they placate me, write a letter and send me on my way.  Finally I said, Look, I paid for PEACE OF MIND.  I don't understand why I'm fighting this fight when I paid big money to you to do this right, and we have now been trying to get this straightened out for 8 months or so.  Now I'm getting threatening mail from the IRS.  You know and I know I do not owe these thousands of dollars IRS is saying I owe.  It is because HR Block did not file my taxes correction in April to start with.  And then IRS blithly threw away my jusitifcation for a CREDIT.  Now they are billing me and running up interest and fines for money I do not owe.  Why did I use HR Block?  I could have done this badly myself! ...and not paid over $300 + $30.   And what was this PEACE OF MIND scam for in the first place.  I feel like HR Block should have bird dogged this with the first visit (or paid the $3000 which basically was their error because they prepared the return WRONG to start with!...that's what the PEACE OF MIND deal is all about anyway -- if they make a mistake -- they pay up to $5000 - that's what it says)...anyway, they should have made this right the first visit I made  to their office over half a year ago when THEIR error became evident.  I will never use HR Block again.  They use half-trained people who don't get you the refunds you are due, they have made errors (small ones before) for the 2 years leading up to this big mistake.  They don't know what they are doing  - they just take your money and leave you to clean up the mess and enjoy the heart attack you get from the IRS.
