TurboTax is a convenient way to file your taxes-- so I thought.
I spent hours and hours and hours completing my taxes using the internet-based TurboTax application. I had logged in perhaps 15 times over a span of three weeks. I was 99% done with everything and was ready to file the taxes. When I tried to log in today, i got a message that my login information was not found.
I called the support team. The first person I spoke with tried checking their system for any instances of my full name, last name, login name, and he even checked every single email address i have. he could not find any information. its like i never had an account with them in the first place.
I was escalated to his supervisor, Ray, who couldn't or wouldn't do anything for me. First of all, the man has a habit of interupting and cutting you off, which further pissed me off. He took down my social security number and called up another department to see if they could run the social and find my account that way. No dice.
There is nothing they could do for me he told me. He said I could write their "Intuit Dispute Text Analyst" in Tuscon, AZ. Other than that, they just didn't have any records of my account and I must have spelled my email or login incorectly. Of course, even if i did, they would still be able to pull up my files by referencing only my last name. He agreed. But guess what? My last name wasn't in there. Ahhh!!!!! How could this be? The TurboTax program had pulled a few of my W2 forms directly from the internet. Automatic Data Processing might have a record of this.
Anyway, my reccommendation to all of you is DO NOT USE TURBOTAX! It is so frustrating to spend hours on your taxes only to have all that work disapear and the company deny any responsibility. They do not care about customer retention. Just know that next time you have to do your taxes.
