I went to Instant Tax Service after a friend told me about a commercial the company advertised. The commercial stated that advancements were available for tax filing individuals. I went here and was told that I had to leave my orginal check stub. I told them I could not do that, so they only made a copy. Everyone else left their stub with them ( later found out it didn't really matter) I was told i had to be approved, and within seconds i was handed a check for 50 dollars. I never got the chance to denie that amount or any thing. I was just told to come back and bring my w2 when I am ready to file. Well i received several calls
from them, and I informed them that I was not doing my taxes their and I would bring the money i owe. I went up there Jan. 17 and was informed that my taxes were already sent and that I would receive them on the 25 of Jan.
I informed them (instant tax) that i have not gotten my w2's and I also needed to add more information, including to other jobs I
had. I was told I would have to amend my taxes and that I could not do this until Feb. and I would not receive the remaining amount until March. I was so mad! I am unemployed and have not been able to pay a fewof my bills, including my LAST car note. I will only be receiving half the amount I should get, and that will not cover me until I find another job. I was really looking forward to income tax season, now this will forever be the most horrific season of all. And just when u thought it could not get worst, it actually did! GEEZ! When Jan. 25 came, no check. After hours of holding on and several attempts to get pass the busy signal, an Instant Tax employee informed me over the phone that my refund would be available Jan. 27. Guess what, no check Jan. 27. I called and called and got constant busy signal. Around 6pm I drove to the location and the office was closed during business hours. I got really scared. Several other people were up there too. Everyone was mad and had the same story.
Saturday was the same thing. This pattern continued until someone finally answered and told me call back Monday. I asked the amount I was getting back, because I was not present when I taxes were filed. Then Tuesday, today I called and was given a different amount to check my status on the IRS website. I was really concerned because there was a 600 dollar difference. I am thinking that I was charged 600 dollars for this gruesome experience involving a few thousands of my well earned
money. What a rip off. I also never received any documents with my income tax information, not one sheet of paper. EVER! AMERICA please AVOID INSTANT TAX SERVICE on Camp Wisdom Rd. Dallas, TX !!!!!!!!
This was such a terrible experience and I would want to spare anyone the hardship they would suffer by entering this office. And also PLEASE fill complaints with the IRS, BBB, the media, and anyone else. This needs to be stopped immediately. Thanks for reading I believe, its worth the time.
