Greetings,

Please check the BBB rating for Tax Masters before you use them. They took $2,700 from us. We notified them in writing within 48 hours that we wanted to cancel our agreement due to numerous complaints we found against them and their BBB rating of "F" (Unsatisfactory) due to the large number of unresolved complaints. They told us that it would yake 90 days for a refund and assured us it would be fine. We then decided to move forward with them.

A month later, they sent the IRS a Power of Attorney form that was loaded with white out and red ink. The IRS returned the form to us indicating that it was not legible. We promptly notified them in writing that we were termiating our contract and closed the checking account they were using to debit their payments.

The mistake we made was that we changed the checking account number but did not change the debit card number (which they still had on file). They drafted our account for an additional $910.00 in April and I promptly changed my card number. The bank told us initally that we did not need to get new cards but we found out this was not true. They also did not reverse the charge after we disputed it.

These Tax Masters people are now advertising in Atlanta and I get sick when I see their founder on these commercials. Please do not take my word for it. Check their BBB report and this web site and save yourself some grief.

I hope this helps someone......
