Vigo County School Corporation I was unfairly terminated TerreHaute Indiana

I was terminated from my employment with the Vigo County School Corporporation after more than 20 years with the corporation, this was on October 31,2008. I never had any kind of write ups or was never taken in to be talked to about my conduct or work performance in all this time. Back in October I asked the principal, of the school I was in to please help keep the children quiter, so we could hear, not silent.

With in a week I was sent to his office over this, not knowing there was a problem. Due to my manager at my school being ill a manager from one of the other schools was sent to help, untrue statements were made back to the food service supervisor, I was not made aware of this, the next day I filled in as acting manager due to my manager still being out, I did not recieve a call informing me of this situation, on the third day another manager was sent, after I notified the principal that I had no help again that morning, she too sent a report, but at the end of that work day I was called to the principals ( before the second maanger left ) at which time I was terminated,

well offically I was let go on November 4,2008, but on October31,2008, they took my badge and had me clear out my things and I was escorted out of the building. The reason they gave me was because that I was rude to staff and students, on one had ever said a word to me, staff or students about me being rude!!! I was not told that this being taken to the school board so that I could attend to defened my self.

I applied for unemployment in November, 2008, then found out that the school corporation had denied it, so on December 2, 2008 I filed an appeal with the unemployment claims office. Then it came time for our hearing, and the judge found out, there again, that the corporation had not supplied me with documents stating their reasons for my dismissal, so it is now an on going battle......I am still fighting. This is the kind of people we have running our schools.... they don't care about their employ's....... one thing is clear you don't want to ever cross them, no matter how loyal of an employee you may have been they don't care!!!!
