Did Aflac violate the terms of their policy....if so, notify your state's insurance commissioner.
If not, get over it and get a policy with terms YOU like...it might cost a bit more.

I spite of your childish response, you haven't said what the bait and switch was or you don't know what bait and switch means.

- I read your "story" and the only thing I got out of it is that even though you knew that they would "screw you" you still gave them money for 5 months.
So how is this bait and switch. If anything it sounds like they did exactly what you expected. If this is not the case then what is the whole story.

Did you even have someone read you your policy?
Next, before posting Ripoff Reports, pay a 10 year old to help you do it right. ;)

Thank you for the mature, well thought out response.
However, you still have not explained how 'bait and switch' applies to your report.
In fact, it does not, I suggest you look it up and have a neighbor child assist you with a report.

You posted a bitch about Aflac, you made it clear that you ONLY had the policy for 5 months, then filed a claim.
What reason did AFLAC give you for denying the claim.
Surely you can tell us why. Otherwise you are leaving the public no recourse but to speculate as to why they denied your claim.
So I am waiting with baited breath to find out why they denied your claim.
I will be checking this report daily to see why. Hey and dont answer me with the same smart assed answer you gave to every one else.
We all just want to know why you had your claim denied.
You cant claim "your right to privacy", because you were the one who made your complaint against Aflac public

First of all I did not mention male children, I mentioned that you might want to ask a child to help you write a report because they would be far more capable of writing a coherent and useful report than you obviously are. Nothing more.
You still have not explained why you think your report is an example of 'bait and switch'.

just stopped by to stir the pot. its a fact that when anyone posts on this site, telling how duck inc. has screwed them over, the only ones who get their feelings hurt, are the duck grouipies that check this site each day. if your not qualified for anything you can be a duck rep or a garbage man. come to think of it, the garbage man gets more respect. their higher up on the food chain, guess thats why. think about it. you pay for trash pick up, and they pick it up. twice a week rain or shine they take your trash and haul it away. you get the service you pay for.what a novel idea. aflac on the other hand, well you no the story. so a tip o the hat and props to the garbage man keepin it real everyday!!

Interestingly enough, you still haven't figured out how to write a sentence. Your writing is nearly illiterate. Learn to use correct punctuation, paragraphs, capitalization etc. It would make you at least appear to be literate although the content is still juvenile at best. Your responses are silly at best.
You told us what your problem was but you still apparently have no idea what 'bait and switch' means. What happened to you is not 'bait and switch'.
If you've read many Ripoffreports you would know that it's very common for an OP to accuse everyone they don't agree with of working for the company. It usually means you have have no valid points to make.

I understand how you might think that, but unfortunately it isn't. A broken leg would not generally qualify under a short-term disability policy. Such a policy is applicable to someone who has been diagnosed by a physician as disabled for a period of about 3-6 months. If your doctor only indicated you'd be off your feet for a month, it's no wonder your claim was denied. On top of this, in order for the policy to kick in, the person affected must first burn through all of their vacation and sick leave prior to payout of the disability. It's not bait and switch because the purpose of the ST disability was not intended for what happened to you. Let's say instead that you picked up something at home, wrenched your back, and the doctor said an operation and your out of work for four months. Once you burn through all your vacation and sick leave, you would then qualify for the ST disability policy until either (1) you're back to work, or (2) you apply for LT disability because the injury doesn't heal.
So what to do? I have a friend in an insurance commissioner's office and he was of really no help in such a situation. He doesn't think the commissioner would act on your filing, but who knows. What he suggested was to file an appeal; he indicated claims are initially denied by any and all insurance companies, not just this one. You can also work with your company's HR department to coordinate that appeal. I can only assume the broken leg did not happen in a work-related situation, so no one can deny your claim because the filing should be a workers comp claim.

Hey Stray Dog, people had ligit questions, and you respond with childish answers.
You should have read your contract before you signed with Aflac. You are a fucking dumb shit, who deserves every thing that he gets.
I work for Aflac, and I told them not to pay your claim, because I DONT LIKE YOU!!!!
You are a professional VICTIM, AND IT WAS FUN WATCHING YOU SQUIRM WHEN WE DIDNT PAY YOU.
I AINT NO AFLAC GROPIE, I OWN AFLAC, AND WE ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF COLLECTING MONEY FROM PISS ANTS LIKE YOU, AND THEN WHEN IT COMES TIME TO PAY WE GO OUT AND MODIFY YOUR CONTRACT SO IT LOOKS LIKE WE ARE IN THE RIGHT!!!!
I HAVE A PROGRAM THAT CHANGES THE WORDING OF YOUR CONTRACT, AND WE SUPERIMPOSE YOUR SIGNATURE ON THE CONTRACT SO IF YOU COMPLAIN TO THE STATE BOARD OF INSURANCE WE SHOW THEM THE CONTRACT, AND THEY DISMISS YOUR CLAIM AS BEING THE USELESS DRIVELL OF A WORTHLESS ASS HOLE!!!
