First of all his reference to a convicted felon is in reference to his friend Chris Ashiotes that induced a novice agent in New Jersey to work for him using the alias Curtis Peterson. Below is a reference to this where this "friend" forged a commission check and stole money from an agent.

This is the last of the three recent reports filed against the CDBA in and around the New Jersey/Pennsylvania border. But all of them come from one man, a disgruntled former agent that was terminated for cause. His name is Jim and has other associates...Curtis Peterson real name Chris Ashiotes and Joe Montabano. If you google the last two, you will be surprised at what you find.

Jim is most likely the instigator. He has repeatedly stated to people that have passed the information on to me that he will do anything and tell any lie to gain revenge for my terminating his contract.

Jim was a special agent contracted to bring in large brokers with agents to enroll members into the CDBA that has the finest assortment of supplemental insurance plans in America. It was because of the quality of the benefits many organization which to have a contract with the CDBA. Jim was given a commission every month and even sometimes in advance when he needed funds to make his mortgage payments. I have many E-mails to prove this. However, I discovered thatm Jim was asking for kick backs from many of the marketing directors of these organizations that wanted and needed our benefits. When I discovered this the first time, I almost terminated his contract but gave him a second chance. He almost immediately went back to his illegal ways and I terminated his contract. A current agent of mine recently had a complaint lodged against us in his name by Chris Ashiotes who took one of his commission checks and forged his name to cash it.

The allegations in these three complaints are all bogus and if anyone really wants the truth, I will provide the names of the marketing directors they can contact to confirm the truth. I will also supply all the E-mails sent back and forth during the period of time he was terminated. Lastly, I will provide dozens of reputable agents that will attest to my character and the way we treat everyone...agents and consumers.

Jim is right that he didn't write or cause production of much business. His total for the whole period is only $8000 more in annualized premium than I personally wrote in one week. He could have and as I look back should have been terminated for lack of production. Maybe the lack of commissions he was able to generate was the reason he tried to garner some from the companies I was already paying him commissions for.

Jim has shown his true character in these unwarranted attacks and proves I was right in my decision to terminate his contract because of character flaws.

It doesn't say much for this website to allow this crap to be exposed to the world without investigating the charges and corroborating them before posting it. But this website exists only for the spectacular not the truth.

Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house! It seems as if Mr. Boyd, uses diversion tactics to devert from the truth. Case in point: North Carolina , Raleigh, Dept. Of insurance Docket # 1417 dated: 1/26/09 Take a look at page 15 on the docket, whose name do you see? Then look at some of the other people that are on this docket. It looks like Mr. Boyd was in bed with the same people that he accuses others of doing business with. Mr. Boyd the truth will set you free! From the a operson that was "Ripped Off"

Mr. Boyd keeps making the head lines by violating peoples trust and the laws of the land.

  I have answered this person's false report twice
before and in both cases did not expose the name of the person; however, he
continues to post these lies and I've decided enough is enough.

  This person is obviously posting false information.  If it were
true, why doesn't he use his name?   I have only had to terminate two
people for cause and only one from New Jersey...James (Jim) Read.  It is
true he worked for me for approximately 2 years as a regional sales manager.
His main duty was to recruit marketing organizations or large brokers to sell
our portfolio of guaranteed issue supplemental insurance plans.  He' right when he said he almost worked for free but only becasue of his lack of success.  In two
years he only produced a little over $50,000 in annualized premium.

  When I sold individual health insurance, I sold over $43,000 in annualized
premium in one week; however, his lack of production was not the reason for his
termination.

  The policies and benefits we provide are the very best in the
country.  For anyone that sells health insurance they are a means of
providing added protection to their customers and increase their income. 
For those that can not afford or have been denied health insurance, we have solutions for them as well.  Needless to say, they are in demand.  On two separate occasions I learned
that Mr. Read demanded a kickback from the marketing directors of the companies
he solicited to sell my benefits.  Since I was already paying him to
solicit and contract these agencies, it was a clear conflict of interest and
violated the ethics of his contract.

  When I learned of the first instance, I gave him a stern warning but
when it was discovered he was doing it again, I terminated him for cause.  I have two people with first hand knowledge of these instances and are ready and willing to corroborate these facts.

  I did respond to his attorney with my side of the termination and offered to provide witnesses to corroboarte the facts, but never heard back from him.  It is
perfectly within my rights to terminate anyone that brings discredit to our
organization by demanding a percentage of the other parties commissions to have
access to our benefits. I was already paying him to bring more
organizations to us to expand our enrollment.  What right did he have to demand payment from the other party as well?

  As far as his charges of doing business with a convicted felon, on one
occasion a rogue insurance agent by the name of Chris Ashiotes who had his license
revoked but a long time acquaintance of Mr. Read, used a fictitious name (Curtis
Peterson) to market our benefits for approximately one month.  When we
discovered it, we immediately terminated the imposter.

  Mr. Read was caught in the act of unethical conduct and given a chance
to correct his mistake; however, he continued and was caught again and
terminated.  The contract was specific on termination for cause...the
forfeiture of all commissions or other compensation. 

  The only other person I terminated for cause was an insurance agent in
Atlanta that has forgotten his fiduciary duty to his clients.  A couple of
months ago an insurance company, American Medical Life Insurance Company (AMLI) was
fined $700,000 and shut down in the State of New York.  This agent in Atlanta
continued to recruit agents to sell the AMLI policies even though the company
had its ratings lowered to a B by AM Best. This agent had a duty to inform the customers of his agents of the increased risk due to the down grading of the company's
strength and ability to pay claims.  Furthermore, he probably did not advise his agents
that their E&O insurance does not cover agents selling policies that are
not rated at least an A-.   Incidentally, Mr. Read also sells policies for AMLI...I wonder if he informed his customers as required under his fiduciary duty as a licensed insurance agent?

   I mention this other incident because of Mr. Read’s request
for others “WRONGED” by me?  Perhaps
there are some other insurance companies that Mr. Read has or is representing
that he is still demanding kick backs from agents to have access to?
  
I didn't steal from him and his family...his own greed did.  He ought to grow up and fly right.  Anyone that continues as long as he has to
insist I am evil when the blame lies with themselves needs help to face the
realities of the world and learn to accept that those that violate the ethics
of another should be held accountable for their actions.

Mr. Boyd as you stated many times, anyone can say what they want, but how do you explain you and your companys Indiana Insurance Commission and the NC complaint that has you and your company involved with the same people that you acuss others of being in bed with?

Mr. Boyd, this is public knowledge, not pre-fabricated lies!

Dear Mr. Boyd the company I work for in San Diego, Ca. has recently implicated you in fraudelant activities.  A copy of the company messaging between myself and the owner are attached below.  I would like a response to these allegations.  And believe me I don't need a job.  I reside in La Jolla and work as a hobby.  I have put my attornies on notice.   I feel a great injustice to the people who do need that job and are stuggling in that office.   Residules have plumeted from an average of $2000 to $500.  And the woner of Alliance has reported that you are directly to blame due to your unlawful actions.    I plan to carry this out to the end.  And trust me I am a professional at suing people.  I have resources to pruse anyone who would intentionally cause good decent people financial harm.  I will pursue this situation will full legal force in cirminal and civil courts.  
 I mean this guy just can't do whatever he wants and not expect legal and criminal consequences.

I plan on contacting the insurance comissioner  and my attonrey.  It isnt about money for me its about the principle.  I hope he has his assests heavily guarded.  I plan on being compenstated, nevertheless.  Because this supposedly happened before with him.

(2:11:03 PM) Jeff : Good afternoon everyone. This IM is only to people that have sold Benefits USA with us in the past. Benefits USA benefits are all written under the association CDBA which was a guy by the name of Chuck Boyd.  Well he did something really stupid. He tried to squeeze all of Cynergys members in and got caught. US Life dropped him. Well since we don't write new business with Benefits USA they decided not to tell us right away. Any plan that was a mini-med through US Life was cancelled. This would be the Select, Silver, Gold plans This will affect some of your residuals. There were 92 members total. So  divided amongst you guys it is spread out. We really need to focus on new sales and really start producing. If there are a lot of questions. I can schedule some time to meet with all of you.

I wonder if he still gets paid on these products?
