My family started with Farmers Insurance in January 2010, had nothing but problems with billing from the moment we set foot in the agents office, but because they were so nice, we tried to over look the issues. It continued, every month the bill was never correct but we were instructed by the agent to just pay what we had previously discussed.

He recommended setting up EFT to save some time & money. We did, this was working, although the bill was still incorrect, they were debiting the correct amount so it was fine.

In June 2010 I received a bill for an astronomical amount, I called and questioned the agent, he said there was yet another billing error keyed in at the corporate level due to the renewal and that he would turn off the EFT (electronic funds transfer) for July & August, have us to mail in a checks for those 2 months then all should be corrected by September he would resume the EFT and we would be good to go.

I mailed July 2010 payment of $205.47 with no problems. Then comes August, I mailed the payment of $205.47 on Sunday 8/1/10, the checked posted/cleared my account on Thursday 8/5/10, I received a call on Monday 8/9/10 from the agents office stating that someone in the billing department at the corporate level had inadvertently resumed the EFT and that a payment for $205.47 was being debited from my account....SO needless to say, i've been told since Monday that I would get a check overnighted, it's 7:10pm on Thursday, I got an email stating they sent it by priority mail which is 2-3 days in the mail. Geee.....thanks for caring about my other bills that are sitting there unpaid.
