My father took out a policy in October 2011 for Life insurance. He was told it was a guaranteed policy, he paid the premium. He died Jan 2012 of natural causes. They had denied the claim. He died thinking I would have money to pay his funeral, but he was miss informed. So I do not refer this company to anyone. It was suppose to pay reguardless of when he died. He had not been sick or been to the doctor in months. He answered all their question honestly and this is what they did to him. When you call to talk to claims they will not allow you to talk to anyone. Customer service is awful for a month they told me the same story. They asked for medical records 3 times, our family doctor could not understand why they needed 3 copies of the same thing. Do not Trust Them....

that limits or doesn't allow payments for pre-existing conditions back to about 2 years.
You didn't mention the reason they gave for denying payment...what was it?
Have you read the policy?
Sorry for your fathers death.
I'd like to hear the company's side of this, so I sent them the link for this report to their corporate office.
