Medibroker Insurance, INC Mail Scam: National Lotto Co-Operation Sweepstakes Lottery, Shopping Award Sony Promotions Minnetonka Minnesota

My father recently received a letter from Medibroker Insurance, Inc stating that he won $150,000. The letter also included a very real looking check for $4987.85. The letter stated to contact James Fisher 1-647-219-4857 tax agent. It stated that the tax amount is $2,998.00 and needed to be paid either by western union or moneygram to the tax agent. After receiving the letter he tried to call the number several times and always got a disconnected recording. After showing it to me I searched the internet and found similar reports on ripoff. Several other red flags were, no return address on the envelope, it was sent from Canada, there was another address on the letter 553 16th St., Windsor, ON PSA 7C6, Canada. The check was written from US Federal Credit Union, Eagan, MN 55121. We will be reporting this to the post office for mail fraud.
