United American Insurance Company Recieved job offer, not a good idea? Internet

United American operates on 100 percent commission.
YOU pay for gas, office supplies, food and lodging, if you
must stay overnight.

If you can afford to be without a paycheck for weeks or even months at a time, this is the job for you.

With the economy the way it is, I really don't see how people will make it.
You are NOT an employe of United American or Liberty or even Torchmark.
You're a contract player, and you're SELF employed.

You will be responsible for any taxes. if a client's check bounces, it is your fault,
and the amount is a negative. If your reserve account is in the negative, you end up paying the company.

If the client changes his mind and cancels, it is the agent's fault. If the agent has paid, let's say $400, and he decides against it, then your reserve account is
-$400.

I would look at this long and hard. Do you really want to do it ? Sure, the company will tell you that you can make six figures income, and in fairness, some do.

many do not.

It is wrong to say you're hired, because you really are not an employee.
Although, they can let you go within a moment's notice.

This is an expensive company to "work for". If you can make do, without a steady paycheck, go for it. Otherwise, I'd look at something else. Not worth the stress.
