I accidently downloaded this program thinking it was XP antivirus 2008 which said i had 72 infections and wouldnt let me surf the web with out purchaseing an activation code.

So i payed $49.95 AU
And got a activation code that seemed crooked.
I put in and it activated but didnt pick up one virus that i had out of 72.
This program is a copy right rip off to copy XP Antivirus 2008 that Win xp promps when it detects adware and sends you to.

Which then you get mixed up with out puting in xp and the program immatates the real XP antivirus program.
Iv sent a report saying there program was acidently downloaded and couldnt be removed so i wanted a refund.
They havent responded.
They i bet dont even have an virus up to date 2008 data base.
they should be sued.
dont buy this program as it is a scam.
cancel your credit card and say it was stolen.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Why, oh why do people fall for this???

AUTHOR: Cristina - Bristow (U.S.A.)

You don't have to cancel your credit card. All you have to do is call your credit card company and dispute the charge. They will credit it back to you. I don't understand how people fall for this. Your computer will NEVER "prompt" you to download an anti-virus software. This is something that you must either go to their website volutarilly and download or purchase at a store and install. After you put in your information, it most likely did NOTHING but charge your credit card.
