Noticed a charge on my account I did not authorize. Called the phone number and was immediately put on hold. After some time I was disconnected. This happened twice. Gave up and googled them. Found I'm not the first victim.

After posting my Ripoff report, I finally got through to someone who didn't put me on hold by using the 800 number from the original $1.95 charge (which was apparently all I thought I was paying for a pdf with info in it), but which was actually starting me on a 14 day trial period of their info business. The person I spoke with gave his name as "Tedra" and was very vehement about not reversing the $129.85 charge.
In his words "That will never happen," but he did ask if I wished to cancel my membership now. I said yes, but that I did not consider the matter closed and that I would pursue taking action against them any way I could, adding that it would be likely that the Feds would be looking into their practices. After that call, I went on the FTC website and filed a complaint against the company, Business Consulting Services LLC on Scottsdale, AZ. This all happened on September 24th.
On September 26th, they reversed their debit of $129.85. I don't know if this is because they are a legitimate business that has realized the error of a misleading marketing strategy or if this was in response to an inquiry from the Feds. I'm inclined to think the latter. At any rate, I was planning to try to get the State of Arizona to go after them as well - but now I think I will not take the time as I have other much more pressing things to spend my time on.
