I almost fell for this scam, while searching for a car to buy on Craigslist. It is good to buy cars on craigslist! But not when you contact them and they have their car in some "company" that will ship it to you, and they do not let you see it! Here are the emails sent back and forth between me and this con artist. Be Careful!! The email starts all the way at the bottom-

transaction will be done through eBay and it will be fully insured by them. If you want to buy it please email me your full name and address for shipping so I can initiate the transaction through eBay. After that they will contact you with all necessary information about this transaction(terms,buyer protection,payment instructions,invoice,etc.)

The transaction fits the eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection and will be covered by eBay. eBay Purchase Protection reimburses buyerswho are involved in a vehicle transaction on the eBay Motors, Craigslist, and AutoTrader sites. The program provides

The money will be sent to an eBay agent. After the payment is confirmed and secured by eBay I will start the shipping. The car will be in front at your door in max 5 days.
