I finally decided to search the Internet and find people with nightmares about Hawking similar to mine. Mine is a $75 rebate from Hawking Technology from summer 2005! At that time they were in Minnesota (if memory serves me right). I am not giving this up; anyone with legal knowhow: Can we have a class action suit brought up against them?

They are still telling me that the check is being issued or rather more recently: "It's in the next batch being sent out". The funny thing is that all this documented, and they still shamelessly just promise delivery. Based on what I read tonight on the websites, they have learned their lesson from cases like mine that are documented. Instead of initial acknowledgement, they just "lose" receipts, or use other means to avoid payment.

They are treading on the border of mail fraud. I am not really sure how other companies and distributors actually agree to sell their products. Anyone working with Hawking will probably get some of their bad reputation rubbed off on them. Shame on Hawking.
