Yeah, I know what you mean. I didn't think Inbox Dollars was a scam either. I never suspected it until I cam across Ripoff Report. I joined Inbox Dollars thinking I would make a little extra money. When I joined, they 'said' that they keep email addresses confidential and private.

Well, guess what? One night I was done cleaning out my inbox, then the next morning, when I logged in, there were 40 new emails! I was getting adverts for all kinds of stuff. I cancelled my Inbox Dollars account after I read these reports. I 'made' about 6 bucks before I cancelled. So even though I cancelled, I might still get junk email. Not a problem though, because I just ad them to my blocked addresses list.

P.S. I'm glad I found Ripoff Report.

I personally have done inboxdollars.com for a while now and have had no problems with them. I too thought it might be a rip off but it's not!

1.) You did get a check did you not??? Maybe not immediately but you did get a check. You did NOT have to pay anything to join this site so how can you call it a scam?!? They do give you an option to avoid the 3 dollars processing fee if you use paypal otherwise they will have to take out the 3 dollars to pay someone to buy the paper, the ink, the stamp, and time to mail off your check. Would you work for free to do this for someone else??? I didn't think so.

2.) I personally have never once had my email and/or home mailing address ever sold or given to third parties. I thought they would might do that so I personally signed up for another email address strictly for this type of business. ALL SURVEY SITES RECOMMEND YOU TO DO THIS! It is your fault that you chose not to. Not to mention, just because the site says it's confidential doesn't mean that it really is. NOTHING IS CONFIDENTIAL WHEN IT'S ONLINE! Again how is that a scam??? You did not pay for anything upfront...

AND...

3.) You get paid min. amount for "reading" emails and doing surveys because it takes little effort and time in doing so. Think about this: Would you pay someone to sit on their butt and read the cat in the hat book for 50 bucks that's coming out of your pocket??? I didn't think so. It takes anywhere from 10 secs to 30 secs to read emails...that is why you only get paid 1 cent to 10 cents. per email. The survey part only takes anywhere from 3 min to 15min to completely depends if you are honest or not and how fast you click through. This is why you only get 1.00. Yes it will take forever to get to 30 bucks if you don't do the free trials and offers. But then again if you are that money hungry and upset over taking 3 months to get to 30 dollars then maybe you should try getting out of the house and get a REAL job and then you might actually get paid what you are worth. This site is not made for REAL income obviously it's for fun.

But my point is this: Don't get all bent out of shape because you didn't pay anything to get that 30 dollars or 27 which ever you one you got. You did not get scammed and you didn't get ripped off! You are just pissed because you supossedly "worked hard" for that money and they took forever to get it to you. BUT YOU DID GET PAID! YOU WERE NOT RIPPED OFF!

F.Y.I honey, not every site out there has to give you their address or phone numbers....afterall to me that smarter than giving out your real addresses and phone numbers on surveys like you did. how dumb can you be? please. Get out and get a job and don't fuss over the small sh*t in life! =) Happy new years!

Earlier it was stated that you can avoid the $3 check charge by using paypal. Neither Sendearnings or Inboxdollars excepts Paypal nor have they ever since I have been with them. Here is what is stated on both sites.

I had been with them for a year and got paid a couple times. However, recently out of the blue they decided to terminate my account on the grounds I violated some survey terms. I had just reached payout on Inbox and was over halfway there with Sendearnings. I'm out $60 and countless hours spent on those surveys. Oh well, thats just how it goes with these get paid type sites.

Many are struggling, many are neglected and are full of bad links. A couple are good. For the most part, count yourself lucky if you ever get any money out of any of them. I'll be curious to see if I hear from some of the other sites I do surveys on because they appear to use the same company as Inbox and Sendearnings. If they say something then I'll know it's the survey provider who has the problem and not just Cotterweb pulling a fast one. With the recession we are entering, I expect to see many good sites start to go bad. I remember the Spedia downfall like it was yesterday. Yes they were very good once.

The way Cotterweb needs it's members to stay active while they wait over a month for their checks, this makes me wonder how financially stable they really are.

NO I did and never did received a pay check from INBOXDOLLARS. Todate I still haven't. Now Greenfield I have and that Greenfield is not a scam. BUT,As for INBOXDOLLARS they are 100% SCAM!

My experience with the Inbox Dollar surveys are twofold. At home, I enter my qualifier responses and click the submit button and the page never rolls over. I get an hourglass that never goes away and I have to close the page without getting to take the survey.

Then I try it on my work computer and it treats my June 20,1958 birthdate as invalid and wants me to change it no matter how many times I try to submit it. They tell you not to lie on these surveys and then won't accept the truth as you've given it.

Me thinks it's an effort to avoid the payouts so you never reach that $30.00 payout.

Inbox dollars is a scam they only offer fifty cents a survey THEY use to be a dollar but they changed that without notifying anyone (scam) every other site offers more COMPENSTATION!!! for the same exact surveys and your response to justify the three dollar check delivery charge is inane. Do you know how much money these companies pay inbox dollars for their info, alot!!!! and fifty cents doesnt even come close so if you want to waste your time like this woman go ahead however if you want to earn real money go with lightspeedpanel or surveyspot they actually pay real amounts, and last a stamp cost fourty two cents and the labor is figured in already. Wake up America and make inbox dollars and their partner company send earnings change their deceptive ways. BOYCOTT

i have been a member of inboxdollars for a lil over a year now and i have not one complaint. the terms of inboxdollars is listed in the TERMS AND CONDITIONS as most websites have. i have read every email inboxdollars sent me and taken every survey inboxdollars sent me. each email i have gotten credited for and the surveys ive have too gotten paid for if i qualified for and tooken the whole survey. yes, it takes awhile to earn the required amount of money before you can request a check and yes there is a $3.00 fee for processing,but inboxdollars is anything but a scam. when i requested my first check it took 2 MONTHS to process (not three) and then a few days later after the two months i received my check. Now being one who regularly recieves scam emails,letters,and phone calls i can tell you i know too much about scammers. inboxdollars is no scam. does it take too long to earn money from inboxdollars,yes does inboxdollars require a fee for processing your check,yes however the way i see it, scammers are out to recieve YOUR MONEY not pay you any money no matter how much.after the first request for a check it takes 2 months to process. after you have recieved your first check you get a gold member status. the processing time goes from two months to two weeks after you have recieved your first gold membership.my advice to those who consider inboxdollars to be a scam, TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND RULES AND CISCLAIMERS ETC, before you jump to uneducated conclusions.

I too was jiped from inbox....after i finally made payout i requested my earnings, cause after all i did earn it! minus the 3 bucks processing fee i was to get the same 27 and some change payment that just about everyone else does for the first payment. My payment wasnt gonna be processed till October 1 2009....well here it is the 2nd and guess what?? my account has been terminated with no explanation!

 at least once a week i read all emails, took surveys and actually purchased things!

 Is there some sort of a class action law suit we can file? cause after all i earned my money and now i have no way of getting it....
