Meyrocorp Or Cure-Soft Shop Virus protection that was actually a virus Moscow Internet

I kept getting pop-ups saying that my virus protection needed to be updated. I did it using my credit card. A couple of days later, nothing would open on my computer. I called Symantec, because I thought Antivirus 2009 belonged to them. After paying $99.99 to allow a technician remote access to my computer, the virus was removed. It was in several different locations and if they are not all removed, the replicate themselves and reinfect. I have filed a claim with my credit card company. These kind of scams are hard to track down, because the people who make them up stop using the same tactics and disguise it as something new.
