I recently recieved an email stating I was a winner and I was to contact a Mr. Paul Dyer. Thinking I entered a recent contest and won, I contacted him. He returned an email stating that my email address had been randomly drawn and I was a second catergory winner and my prize was 480 000 GBP(Great Britian Pounds). Then he told me to contact Mr. Frank Wales with Acorn Express Delivery, with my drivers licence and my Identification code. Not knowing anything about scam emails I did all of this. Mr. Frank Wales contacted me by telephone to "confirm" my winnings and sent me some more information on how I could get my prize money. I first had to send a little over $1000 thru Western Union, then they would send my "winning cheque" thru the courier system and I would have my winnings in 24 hrs. I started wondering how I could've just won that much without even being a player of this lottery company so I did some checking around. I went to the National Lottery website and first thing I saw was "Are my winnings real?" so I click on this link and see the 3 most common types of scam email information. Which all three were in my email! Then I called National Lottery and they confirmed the scam. I even called Mr. Frank Wales himself and spoke to him for almost 15 mintues while he tried reassuring me this was not a scam. I feel very stupid for falling for this scam because I have been so weary of them in the past. I hope this information helps others from being scammed by these guys. Their websites and emails are VERY convincing. BEWARE!!
