PeoplePC Debiting by bank account since 2005-current for services without my authorization. Total of $2,998.00!! CROOKS!! Atlanta Georgia

I recently noticed about $600 missing from my checking account,when I began searching back bank statements I found that this company had been charging my account $10.95 some months, one month over $100.00. However, this has been going on since 2005 and I just now have caught notice of the situation. When asked the total amount they have charged to my account during this time, I am being told $2,998.00. "$10.95 per month comes no where near that amount for 3 years", during my phone conversation with an uneducated employee that couldn't or didn;t want to understand what I was saying to her. I have had to call 3 times to get someome to give me a confirmation number to try to cancel this, to stop further action to my account. This is totally ridiculous!!!
