I accepted 3 assignments from Market Force 2 of which they called me and asked if I could do it within 24 hours.  I accepted their terms which was $40 plus actual reimbursement and the other $25 plus $15 reimbursement.  The third assignment I chose on my own which was $9.

There was so many requirements need to be meet.  So many questions to ask, so many details that you had to remember.  You are not allowed to bring these requirements with you as you are to act like a regular shopper.

One the first assignment one of the requirements was to evaluate 10 employees, but there was only 10 in the entire store.  It would have been impossible to evaluate all of the employees by having conversations which they initiate without looking like a quality control/secret shopper!

On the second assignment I had to drive 40 miles one way and had spent a few days later responding to inquiries from market force.  It was as if they were trying to find anything that wasn't done properly so they wouldn't have to pay me.

On the third assignment I didn't ask one of the sales clerks a question exactly as they wanted so they did not pay me because of that.  They still used all of the other information that I had gathered and submitted for them.

If this was a reputable company they should have prorated the assignment fees.  Eg: If I had 10 items to do and made a mistake on one, then they should pay me for 9 of them.   I had spent 12 hours of my time, all of which was work, gathering information and inputing it into their forms online, uploaded scanned copies of receipts and contracts and back and forth emails for 3 assignments.  This comes out to $7.41 an hour if they actually paid me.  Which they haven't!

Ripped Off by Market Force

AUTHOR: Harry G. - Luxora (United States of America)

I have fallen prey to this company as I also completed assignments like you and was told after asking that it takes 4-6 weeks to be paid but yet they keep asking that you continue to complete other assignments for them.  I have completed so far 38 assignments and only paid for 18.  When asking how long I will have to keep on shelling out $100's of my money for gas to complete more assignments they tell me it has 4 to six weeks to pay for assignments.  I am sure they are getting paid faster for these assignments and am tempted to go to their clients and tell them how Market Force rips off field associates which they call independent contractors.  I think this company should be reported to the Trade Commission for unethical business practices.
