Hello
In late 2003 , my son and I attended a Storesonline seminar in Brisbane and parted with our hard cash to purchase 6 licenses for 6 websites.
Being computer novices and only on disability pensions we thought it sounded like a good way to start a home based business.
We were soon contacted by a Spencer Henry who asked for $3200 more to provide a mentor Scott Nelson to assist us with setting up the site and marketing strategies.
After our mentoring program was finished Scott quickly dis appeared from our chatroom screens .
We had technical problems accessing the license when we attempted to launch a second website and requested help.
Nothing was forthcoming after phone calls and emails.
The link they provided to Merchant Banking didnt work and we advised we had already forked out $900 US for that service and I emailed asking why we were paying another $695 again! No response was forthcoming.
My first and only website was disabled after a couple of months!
When I asked why it had been disabled, it took them several weeks to say my account was in debt. I was also informed that we hadnt paid for a Domain name which was totally untrue. They just didnt investigate the papers we sent them.
In Dec 2004 I received a demand for $270 and enquired what it was for. My answer was in another email a week later in the form of a demand for $490! Still no one bothered to tell me what it was for.
This week 20th April 2005 I was shocked to receive a demand for payment of $4073.12 from a Duvera Financial acting on behalf of Storesonline!.
I have in front of me a document stating that the hosting payment is $25.95 a month so I was absolutely astounded by this bill and sought a "please explain!
I was told it was for Hosting!
Hosting what? A website that Storesonline disabled back in June 2004?
Hosting for Five unused licenses that have not been developed as websites due to a technical glitch on their part which barred us access even when we were paid up clients? How is it LEGAL to charge billing for Five Ghost sites and a disabled website? Apart from being morally wrong it seems to be downright FRAUDULENT as well!
After reading about the rip offs and complaints from Storesonline clients, I am unwilling and unable to put any more money into this scam despite their demands for payment!
They have "subtley" with all due respectetc" virtually called me a liar when I said I had asked for help via email many times!
They stated that I hadnt sent emails and they had a record of emails etc.
I might add that I have kept copies of most emails sent to them.
I suggested that was because I had emailed individuals asking for assistance and I believe that these staff are no longer with the organization.
I offered to give them the last 5 licenses to sell at one of their rip off seminars. I also said I would like my money refunded. I might add that I have spent considerable money getting business cards , flyers and adverts placed with my defunct website address!
In view of all they have done to hinder our success, I am happy to add my name to any lawsuit etc that is being planned. I have also reported the Storesonline scam to the relevany Government bodies here in Australia although I dont hold much hope of them being able to do anything about an American based company.
