23/6/2010 Responded to ad on screen beside Yahoo page; iPods 23.85 When I hit that ad next screen only said Gov't Auctions #1 Surplus Auction website. Scroll down &
click bid to take part in auction. Second screen a page of items being bid on by time on clock. Nowhere any prior information that a membership, $150.00 was being charged !
I only went to second screen, tried to bid on only 1 item, so I escaped back to Yahoo.
End of auction/bidding story.
Shortly after, I had an email from SwipeBids.com of my"order ID for 1 yr membership,
300 bids, for grand total of $150.00 taken off my c/card. I called c/card issuer and
tried explaining this was a fraudulent charge, they said wait until Friday. She also said
the charge was made last Friday, not in the past 45min. How could this be??
My attempts to cancel membership, have card credited ASAP, finally resulted in msg.
that they had cancelled account, but my card was not credited.
"Please note, this does not cancel or remove any charges of $150.00 for a membership." If account is cancelled, why not the charge?
HERE is fraudulent use of my c/card, #2. I was told that I had registered for Auto Replenish Club !! I certainly never even heard of such a club, so who did this?
