Wealth Masters International $2000.00 ripp off. They didn't deliver what they promised. "My sponsor" Bob Cook, from Mebane, North Carolina, reassured me support for the business. I ordered the $2000.00 product. For two months, I didn't get the product. When I inquired about it, my sponsor hang up the phone on me. WMI sent the products 2 months later. I asked for a return and refund. they refused. Sugar Land Texas

Before I joined WMI as a consultant, "My sponsor" Bob Cook, from Mebane, North Carolina, reassured me he will give me the support I needed to start the business. I ordered and paid $2,000.00 dollars for the product on February 12, 2008. A month and a half later I still didn't get my product. I called My sponsor and he offer to find out the problem, I waited several days, but he never called me back or return my many calls. I called Wealth Masters International to find out about my product and after 2months I finally got their products. When I call Bob Cook to start the business, he hang up the phone on me. I called WMI to express the lack of business ethics and moral integrity I experienced with members of this Company and asked Mike Bundy (Membership Service Director for WMI) for my money back, he refused and asked me to get it from Bob Cook.
WMI and Bob Cook, took money from me. They did not deliver what they promised, the support and the products on a timely basis. Shame on them for ripping off the American Public!!! People beware!!!

Grace,

I agree with you that a sponsor should follow through on his or her commitments.

Sponsors, like real estate brokers, insurance brokers, and other such persons have an obligation to help their team members. It burns me up when they don't, particularly when most of us work darn hard to support our team.

It is also important to separate the company from the sponsor. A sponsor is an independent contractor. He or she is running a business selling products produced by a company. They are not the company.

Regarding the company (WMI), did you receive the product two months after you ordered it or two months after you contacted WMI?

Also, did you provide them with the correct shipping address in the beginning? I assume you did but often the problem is a shipping address omission.

In a related vein, I would advise anyone who purchases a product to contact the company directly if you have not received it. You might also contact the sales rep but if it is the company that ships the product, contact them if you haven't received it.

I am sorry your sponsor did not provide the assistance you sought. You could have asked the company to transfer to a different sponsor (the procedure is detailed in the Policies & Procedures).

You could have also asked for assistance from other members. I frequently help members whom I do not sponsor.

In addition, while unfortunate, I would suggest that you not let your sponsor's failure become your failure.

You can still build a thriving business (with WMI or elsewhere), whether or not your sponsor (or broker or similar person) helps you. Don't sell yourself short by thinking you can succeed only if you have a good sponsor.

Finally, you did not mention in your post that when you purchased the product, you were told that you would not be able to request a refund.
