AT&T U-verse at&t U-verse Blatant misrepresentations about price Carol Stream, Illinois

Door-to-door sales person promised faster speed, lower prices, free install.  Person on the phone at AT&T promised same thing.  I got the same speed (100mps), was charged $150 for the installation, and my monthly charge has nearly DOUBLED.

I had Bellsouth with 2 phone lines and DSL, no cable tv.  The DSL cost $28/month.  The U-verse costs $48/month.

Up till now I have been treated fairly by Bell/AT&T.  I will never do business with them again without getting their promises in writing.

I called and they waived my installation fee.  But they would not give me that in writing.  Based on other complaints here, I do not expect them to honor that waiver.  I will be looking for another service.  How I regret paying more to get the same thing. 

When I cancel this and send back the hardware, I will track the shipment as I see others getting shafted here.  I stuck with BellSouth for 20 years since my dad retired from that company.  What a sap.
