AT&T Wireless AT&T High Speed DSL "23x Faster than Cox" Santee California

I recently switched my service from Cox cable internet service to AT&T Hispeed DSL ,following my repeated hearing and seeing both radio and television adds boasting boldly of the fact that AT&T was 23x faster than CoX.Well let it be known to anyone in the San Diego Area that these adds are completely bogust and untrue.The fact of the matter is the closest server for high speed DSL (which determines the speed of dsl)to host the San Diego area is in Irvine approximately 65-70 miles .To the majority of people using computers and connecting to the internet it would never occur to them that DSL speed is determined by the distance the user is from the server.,which is not to exceed 35 miles.I find it completely unnacceptable that the people running this company would authorize the flat out lies included in the adds they are flooding the local networks with.I am a web developer and I rely on my data transfer rate for updating and uploading new content for my clients.I attempted to reach the individual (Donald Pope Jr.) who originally signed me up,and have been given the run around .I want people to what Liars AT&T and hopefully prevent others from making the same mistake I did.
