AT&T I called up AT&T on Jan 12, 2012 for subscribing to their Internet Service. They were helpful and very quickly took the order. Took my card details and charged me USD 100 for the modem and said I will Chicago, Illinois

I called up AT&T on Jan 12, 2012 for subscribing to their Internet Service. They were helpful and very quickly took the order. Took my card details and charged me USD 100 for the modem and said I will receive the modem on Jan 17, 2012 and by 8pm my service will start. Modem dint come on Jan 17. I called them on Jan 18. They said it has been delayed; and that it will come on 18th.It never came on 18th. I called them again. They said further delayed. Finally came on 20th. I installed it, it did not work. I called them on 20th again. They said they will send someone to fix it. Nothing got fixed in
next 3 days. I called again. They said they will have to send a technician (which was the same thing they had said earlier). I said ok. Next day again nothing worked. Day after that I called them again ...and so on and on and on...have
been calling them almost on a daily basis since Jan 17.

 Today Is Feb 3. I have spent atleast 30 min on every phone call. Extending to as long as 2 hrs. Have left work early only to wait for their technicians.  This is just the first thing - time that I have spent on phone calls. Now comes the inconvenience I have had to face because of not having internet all these days. I go to work at 6 am in morning; com back evenings.Then have to go back again late in evening, since there is some work which needs to be done only around 6 .30 pm and since I do not have internet at home, I need to go to work. I have had to come to work on every weekend and do work, which I could have easily done from home. Now this was the second part, inconvenience. But none of the two compare to the third one- which is the immense mental trauma that I have gone through during this time. Imagine calling someone on a daily basis ; begging and pleading to them to get a basic thing as a service, which was their job to be done in the first place. And then getting transferred to 4 people on one call – and repeating the same information yet again.  Imagine this happening on a daily basis.

 Daily you are made a promise and given hope that it will be done today; only to find nothing was done and you were a big fool to have believed them and only option for you is to call them back. And even after that NO results and I ended
up calling them again. I really really want something to be done about tit. I have felt so helpless and alone and lonely ….that I actually broke down on phone, while requesting them to get this thing done.
