I began using earthlink because they had this great deal on high-speed internet. Apparently, I had not yet learned my lesson from netzero.
As more time goes by, I find you have to be careful who you give your cc/dc # to, so I wasn't surprised that when I canceled, earthlink continued to bill me $14.95 repeatedly after I called at least 4 times to cancel.
First of all, their cs reps can barely speak English. Big surprise all the huge scam companies use Indian outsource. So I spoke to him very loudly and very clearly as I could for the 100th time, I am canceling my service. I explained to him that we are facing recession in the U. S. and I personally do not have a spare $14.95 to give away every month.
Once again my wonderful bank (shout out to National City) refunded my money, did their own investigation, and suggested I stop using my debit card on the internet.
