Months ago my son graduated from college, and was applying for a job that required clearance.He had to state ANYTHING that could be picked up in a report.
Any charge of violence was the kiss if death. Years ago, he had been charged with mob wounding, but the case was dismissed because of mistaken identity.My son received a letter of apology from the court's attorney, with the suggestion that he file to have all records expunged to prevent any stigma that might come from such a charge. This was all done according to the law. There is now no record of any charge.

Net Detective obviously received their information AS SOON as the charge was made, and entered it in their files. Now they refuse to DELETE it from their files! They have been told to make a phone call to the state capital, criminal records, and they will verify there IS NO SUCH CHARGE!!What more do they want??? This is a case of slander, as far as we are concerned. How can a company publish false information, and then refuse to delete it when faced with proof of their mistake? My son is going to apply for the job he wanted on the advise of his lawyer. He is assured that any major company is going to get their information from the police or government files, and not from a scam company like Net Detective. He could have been working months ago, but wanted to have this cleared up. Can he sue for slander? yes. We would like to see a CLASS ACTION SUIT filed against this company to hit them where it hurts-their pocket!
