America On line ripoff - phony billings deceptive company ripped off and scammed New York New York

We purchased a Dell Computer that came loaded with AOL free for one year. When the year expired, AOL continued to bill us. We complained that they were never given permission to charge our mastercard, they claimed to have that right. We then requested that they stop service. They did not.

We continued to be charged. We called again, stated that we did not want anything to do with AOL, and wanted the charges removed. They refused, and continued to charge us.

We closed the card in desperation, but they continue to charge us by mail, (threatening) mail I might add, even though we are now on another ISP and haven't used AOL's crappy service for months!! These thieves just will not go away!

For those of you still unlucky enough to have AOL as an ISP,
we feel your pain. We did not know what a competent ISP was until we stopped using AOL and went to Netzero, a great ISP at less than half the price!
