My problem with cablevision was I had the internet service about a year ago for a little less then 3 months. Since it was under my name and another internet line in the house I got the sale price for the service. It was 3 months for $19.95.

I was about a week into my 3rd month when I was goin back to college so I figure I would cancel the service because we have internet at school. So I call up to cancel and the rep was real nice she told me it would get prorated and I would pay like $6 and change don't really rememeber. She gave me the confirmation code because I paid with a credit care.

I get my bill and I see 2 charges. The first one I knew off and the second one was the rest of the $13 and change. It wasn't the amount of money that was charged, it was that fact it was charged. I never authorized that charge. How can they charge me with out telling me. I never agreed to that charge. So i call up care again to find out about this and another lady was telling me what i wanted her to do. How about telling me how this charge came up. Basically she kept telling nothing could be done. So it seems that they could charge my credit card and not even tell me. I just ate the 13 dollars cause it's only 13 dollars. But how about an explantion why or how this could of been done. What if it was a charge for a few hundred dollars???

Whose interest is Cablevision really looking after?

AUTHOR: Stuart - North Brunswick (U.S.A.)

When I worked at Cablevision, at the time they had their phone reps poo poo satellite competition while trying to give Cablevision a buildup over the competition (it would have been professional to compare the difference between the two industries as they have their places, not knock the competition).

What makes this ironic is their new satellite
company, Voom, went down the tubes very rapidly and is on the chopping block. Fitting justice for Cablevision.
