Careerbuiler has a section where you can pay to have your resume distributed to hundreds of recruiters that recruit for your paticular job, so I paid the money and have not recieved one response nothing.
Careerbuiler also has a section called background check, so I applied for that and they had different addresses that I never lived at listed.
Careerbuilder also has a section called resume critique where they will check your resume and give you there opinion, I submitted for it 5 times no one ever got back to me.
After I submitted my complaints and aked for a refund, I received an e-mail from them telling me they will turn it over to another department for review and get back to me in 2 business days.
It has been weeks and nothing so I decided to log in to there forum and discuss my disapointment with the company, but I cannot log in, I called them and said I am not able to get into the forum, they got my information and a couple on minutes later told me to try it again, but nothing I cannot even log into the site anymore.
The sad thing here is that the people that use this site are in a rather vunerable state of mind as it is just trying to find work, and it is really unfortunate that companys like this offer really nothing they are just out to get your money.
I found that only the jobs that list a company name with contact information are anything of a hopeful oportuninty, but the sad part is that only maybe 10% of those companys are not some scam company trying to get your money to.

Your right Dennis these Job Offer Companies like Careerbuilder/Hot Jobs have 10-15% Legitimate Job Offers and the rest are Scam/Fraud/Misleading Job Offers I went through the same thing , plus my info was somehow stolen/given to HiringMax when Careerbuilder claims they do not give out your info to anyone/company. According to a future employee/BBB they make/recieve too many calls to check on companies that want to advertise on their site , but offer a after the fact fraud department you can let them know you were scammed/mislead from a company/service you used from their site. Any legitimate company checks advertising/selling any company/product before they offer it to their customers , plus wouldn't you want to have a department that checks these things first before your customers have to or do you want to be known with scams/frauds/misleading companies/programs? It just sounds like they just want money to fill as many spots as possible no matter what it is and we'll just say we're not responsible for any of our customers getting scammed/mislead that's their problem and let's let them tell us which ones are scams/frauds. Yes everybody should check any Company out before hand to know who they really are but to check on 85-90% of the companies/Job offers and finding out they are scams/frauds/misleading from a so-called legitimate company that wants you to use their services makes them just as SHADY as the scam artists. Just searching on Careerbuilder/Hot Jobs sites then writting down company names and invetigating them yourself makes you understand how these scam artists stay in business for years ,plus what kind of company Careerbuilder/Hot Jobs operates. I just checked out Hot Jobs and wrote down 10 different companies that I couldn't find any info on so I went to BBB nad Consumer Affairs and out the 10 they could only find info on 3 which were unsatisfactory reports from out of state HQ's but claimed they had locations in Long Beach. Plus not to mention all the Rebate Process at Home Scam/Fraud/Misleading company Angela Penbrook/Angel Stevens/Angela Christianson/Maryanne Kennedy DBA's/websites are advertised all over Hot Jobs , but because people complained to Careerbuilder after the fact of getting scammed they took most of Angela Penbrook/Angel Stevens/Angela Christianson/Maryanne Kennedy sites off and are not advetising them.
In the end how do these companies expect to let any kind of scam/fraud advertise on their site to scam/fraud their customers or customers check out these companies and find out 85-90% are scams/frauds/misleading stay in business for long? Thank God for websites like Ripoff Report and others to get the word out on not only scam artists but the companies that let them do it also.
