On August 17th, 2009 I agreed to purchase a list of email addresses for marketing purposes from I-2Communications (or BLGCompany as one email address would imply). The company was paid via electronic money transfer of $2000, shortly after I began receiving the lists in quantities of 2500 via email. The first red flag was that the list did not match the demographic breakdown I was provided. In fact, it was all lists of contacts from Alaska! Apparently the sole contact in the organization is a gentleman that speaks with a foreign accent, but claims to go by Shawn Peterson. (On at least one occasion, he tried to tell me his name was James.) To remedy the fact his first list was bogus, Shawn promised to send more from the regions discussed in our agreement. Communication became very fragmented at this point. At first, I was able to trick him into picking up the phone by disguising my caller ID with *67, but he picked up on that quickly and now he won't answer the phone at all. A final list was sent to me after about 6 weeks went by. To my surprise, the list was a complete fake. Shawn Peterson created fraudulent email addresses by taking the first name of the contact in his list and putting that together with the company name to create an email address. This became apparent when we viewed characters within the addresses. These are actually pulled from the list (barbara@taxi&transportation.com, cheryl@rhue&co.com). At this point Shawn or anyone at I-2Communications.com will return my calls or emails. There are a variety of email addresses on their website, but I believe they all go to Shawn Peterson who is probably just a 1-man show. They provide a variety of services including customer service, tech support, telemarketing, collections, medical transcription, and more. I would strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere. I'd be happy to explain this situation in much greater detail, and I welcome any legal advice. Again, I strongly recommend staying away from Shawn Peterson and I-2Communications (AKA BLG Company).
