so i made match.com aware of several photos that were inapropriate may as well have been naked. they wont let me post a monkey. i have reported several "nigerian" singles NOTHING done. several profiles are convicted felons some even have warrants, THAT WAS FUN. i reported a member for showing up drunk to a date they said live with it..!!
OH YEAH. i run background checks, glad i do. the beef is this why does match.com put members at risk KNOWINGLY and even charge them. there is a report of saturation this is TRUE. HOW can you put "1000's" of new members daily then there would be millions of members right? i have reapetedly asked for a TOTAL acct deletion no will do.

What!

AUTHOR: Inspector - Tobyhanna (U.S.A.)

Your report makes no sense. Do you think that a paid service like Match.com should screen it's applicants?

Ummm....

AUTHOR: Robert - Irvine (U.S.A.)

Where in the Match.com agreement does it say that they screen their applicants and guarantee that they will be on their best behavior(I.E. not showing up drunk).

What do you want them to do? Sure a Background check would catch the people who are felons, but it is no guarantee that the person is a "good" person. Just that they haven't gotten caught yet.

As with any site it is up to the two parties involved to pick a safe PUBLIC place to meet and make sure that friends and/or relatives know where they are.

Nigerian Scams

AUTHOR: Vamp - Beaver Dam (U.S.A.)

I do however think they should remove Nigerian scams and obvious fraud. Showing up drunk I agree sucked but there's nothing they can do about that. Some online sites like MySpace are now blocking sex offenders so I don't know why more security can't be part of these sites. It makes me wonder if there's any security at these dating sites at all.

Do like some of the other posters suggested and meet in public and let your friends know where you are and maybe call them before you leave so they know to expect you home soon. Never drive to the place together and never get in a car with a stranger. Always have your own ride home.

It's probably best to meet for a short period the first time in day light for coffee or lunch. That way if it doesn't work out you haven't set yourself up to spend the evening with someone you really don't like.
