Eight years ago I became an enrollee with Peoplepc, and now I can't seem to be able to get away from them. I had dial-up service for seven of those eight years. Then I updated to the enhanced dial-up, which didn't seem to speed up anything. I had never tried another service.

In July of this year ( 2008 ) I signed up for DSL with my phone company, and called and cancelled my Peoplepc Service, or thought I had. Peoplepc whacked my account for 15.95 just like usual, and is getting ready to do it again. I don't know how to get this company to quit hitting my one little credit card monthy. If anyone out there is even thinking about signing up with Peoplepc...do not give them your credit card number unless you want life long service.
