In March of 2007 I made the mistake of signing up for a TypePad blog while being told that I would have 30 days FREE I believed them. I got their TypePad blog software service to set up a Friends weblog so I can blog about my life as it is, and others can express themselves on the blog. I read on their website that the TypePad system is suppose to be the easiest blogging system to learn and you could have various templates to customize the weblog as you want to. I paid my money and their statements were far from the truth. I was only able to use two templates they had already set up and I was NOT able to customize it as I wanted to, I also had great difficulty using the system because it is seemed not to provide the functionality I wanted. I could not even set up people to join the blog. I did contact TypePad for help and never got a response, when I complained I didn't get a response they always say they didn't receive the first inquiry and still didn't help me. I could NOT get any help from TypePad, just the run around and excuses.

I paid $149.50 for 12 months of service in March of 2007 and only received one month of service, which was suppose to 30 days FREE. I completed their online cancellation form canceling the service. I received an e-mail from them stating the service was canceled and cancellation survey asking my opinion of their service along with why I was leaving. I read the website where it states I would receive a FULL REFUND of the year $149.50 I have e-mailed to no avail. Canceled the service in April 2007, I was also supposed to receive 30 day FREE trial when I signed up. That is why I am asking for the full 12 months refund I paid for upfront. I am going to file a complaint other internet complaint service that I can find. I will let any one who wants to know that I paid for 12 months of service and only received one month canceled the service and did NOT receive my refund as I was promised. I am being ripped off and it is NOT right.

I was ripped of by http://www.typepad.com/ TypePad blog software and Six Apart company took my money for services they didn't provide and won't refund it, I feel ripped off by them. Be aware that if you want you money back for months NOT used you may become a victim as I am. As I understand Six Apart company owns TypePad blog software, because I paid for a TypePad blog and Six Apart charged my credit card. I have filed a BBB report against them to hopefully get my money back I can only hope. I feel betrayed and taken advantage of by Type Pad.
