I, too, am a victim of the scam artists at Amazon.com. Without repeating details that have already been stated by others, I will describe my experience, briefly. Sold a camera. Got a notice after I shipped it that they were reviewing my accout and would hold my money for 30 days. Then, 45 and 90 days. Have concluded that this nothing more than a ruse to make interest on other peoples' money. Have decided to contact the AG of Washington. Has anyone else tried this? Maybe if enough people complained to the AG, something would be done about these bastards. Have been waiting for my money since April 09. The thief I talked to on the phone must be on some really good drugs to remain so calm after what I said about his mother and her relations with donkeys. I guess, they can afford the best drugs stolen money can buy.

CONTACT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

AUTHOR: Ebayseller - St George (U.S.A.)

There will be power in numbers. Amazon has continued to do this to sellers but they have not been made accountable. If we all start sending in complaints to the Attorney General in Washington, they will eventually take notice. We have to stop whining and start taking action.

Eventually one complaint will turn into a hundred, then into a thousand. Look for other people who have been through this, post on blogs, email other Amazon sellers who have funds held. Give them this link, tell them to stand up and say something. Worst case, Amazon will have to respond to each complaint file.

The effort they will have to put into filing paperwork alone will cost Amazon enough time and money that suspending sellers for no reason and holding their funds will no longer become profitable.

They took our money, now let's spend theirs by making them defend themselves.

If you get more motivated, you can contact the IRS and make sure Amazon has filed the correct paperwork for holding your funds.

Contact your local BBB and file a complaint. Inundate them with paperwork and complaints that they must respond to.

Contact your local Attorney General's office.

Contact anybody who will investigate Amazon's practices, especially government agencies. GET YOUR POINT ACROSS.

Follow this link to get your complaint form and follow the instructions for filing a complaint with the Attorney General in Washington. Send it to the Seattle office when you are done. It's quick, easy and will draw attention to what Amazon is doing to it's sellers.

Am being ripped off by Amazon.com and one of their retailers

AUTHOR: Navygirl - Memphis (U.S.A.)

I too am a victim of identity theft when it comes to Amazon.com and one of their retailers. The company that thinks they stiffed me is Empirestyle.net. They ripped me off for $424.35. They have a website, they sell clothing for petite and children. I am not petite no do I have children. I am devastated over what they took from me and I will get the money back. For the month of April, I had 16 different charges on my account that are bogus, I have gotten all but 3 of the charges back. The bank did not help matters as they charged me 455.00 NSF charges and they took my social security check disability check to off set all the chargees. The bank is just as much at fault. have been with them for 23 years, they could see each time they opened up my account to post, that I did not have the extra funds to cover these bogus charges and to see that this has never happened before except one of the charges. It should have been a red flag to them that something strange was going on. I have been contacting different people and agencies to get someone to help me, but noone wants to get involved. This Empirestyle.net is in Berlin Germany, so I am going to try the Department of Commerce, then I will go to the Supreme Court. The longer we don't stick together and fight for what is ours and get these thieves caught and arrested, the longer and more this crime will continue on happening, the more we lose, the more they gain.

Guaranteed solution

AUTHOR: Sst047 - Bixby (U.S.A.)

Very simple solution, create your own website and stop selling on Amazon.

Seems pretty simple to me!
