cox is not providing news groups to customers. this means you cannot download songs or videos in a reasonable amount of time. the company has placed a cap on file sizes. calls to john dire president 404 843 5000 have not been returned even though a return call was promised. they are probably looking at the download speeds and telling themselves that there is no reason to remove the caps as no one is using the news groups. not that you can not use them so there is no traffic. when you call the company the recorded message tells you an new high speed world awaits you when you do the conversion the lag times on the internet and the email are much longerand the news groups are horrible. seems the bean counter devoloped thenew network instead of the techs.
