I have found the admin and moderators of model mayhem to be rude unprofessional adolescents. Acting more like kids who should be grounded by parents, than professionals who fix and solve problems of the website and it's members.
In most cases when contacting, their responses are putting the blame on the member. Rather than taking the time to check out the numerous flaws and functions that don't work on the website, they'd rather start an argument that their failures are something that your not doing right.
They seldom seem to read any of the information you include when contacting them. I've seen them reply asking for information that was included in a previous message to them.
I'm concerned there is no organization that monitors websites like these and tracks customer complaints, website issues & general problems with the functions of the site.
I hope others will avoid this listing (which is meant for photographers/models/make-up artists), but is a hopeless failure when compared with other similiar listings.

Not only is it an immature and un-moderated mess, it is downright, slanderous, racist, biased and lastly, DANGEROUS.
The site is primarily comprised of individuals CLAIMING to be photographers with offers of well paid careers to nieve and inexperienced women. In Miami last year, 5 models were raped by an ex-Miami cop who used ModelMayhem to find victims.
Even as a member who reports this to the supposed "staff" (i.e. self appointed pompous and un-educated members) it will not only be ignored, you will mostl likely be banned, harrasssed and even threatented.
The supposed models are no different. Many of them simply prostitue themselves. Many are mere escorts using the site as another source to find clients.
The people on modelmayhem are merely wannabes with ulterior motives. I HIGHLY advise not being on modelmayhem, or you too will either have your reputation and or life ruined nto to mention, your health.

I just filed a report on here because Valeria Figallo ripped me off, and she has leverage from working on websites for the moderators! They're of absolutely no help at all, even (it seems like since I've been waiting for 4 days for a response now) the moderators with good reputations! I'm on probation for a week because I "outed" this girl. All I said was this:
"Scammed by MM Member for Website Design:
I have been working on getting a website made, worked out a deal with a member on here for a website to be built for me. A price was agreed upon as was a completion date and I sent a 50% deposit. The due date is well past, the website was not completed, the designer will not return my emails, and she will not refund my money. I cannot post any more information or the moderators will delete my post. Feel free to send me a message and I would be happy to give you all of the information on what happened. Thank you for your time!"
This post abides by all of their many rules, including but not limited to:
(5) No outing/libel: While we would like MM to be used as a resource to warn others of problem companies, people, etc. There are always two sides to a story. So we have to prohibit any side from being told. This is for our protection and yours as well. We don't want to have to deal with a libel lawsuit.
(7) MEMBER DISPUTES: You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members. ModelMayhem.com reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other Members. Basically, be nice and if you get into a quarrel... take care of it on your own.
Wow, so basically we can post POSITIVE experiences, but not negative ones on there. That's extremely lame.

i just filed a complaint about modelmayhem and you are lucky cause some photographer associated with the website told me to get over it and that i am in the wrong. and that was here on ROR.
at least you got support which i was hoping for as well as to be a service to anyone looking to see if modelmayhem was a place to put up a profile.
i may have been treated poorly but i won't stoop to their level. i agree with you completely and thank you for posting and sharing your experience.
