PayPal and eBay have become sites only for the buyers and the scammers. They got rid of the negative feedback in place for buyers (like buyers don't leave negative feedback in revenge). Now they also make you ship before you even get paid for an item which is hard when your living on a college student budget...especially for heavier items.
I did this once before and then the buyer claims he never got it even though I had a tracking number PayPal still found in there favor...it left me out of an item, out of shipping and out of the money for the item. I appealed but they closed the case.
I guess in a way this beats them freezing the acct like they used to and you spend months trying to verify yourself and get it unfrozen before you can even touch the money.
A buyer can easily claim an item is damaged or not as described and PayPal takes their side. I learned that the hard way so now I have to make sure I take pictures of everything before it leaves my care.
Scammers can take you for every cent you have if they want and if they've withdrawn the money from the acct then PayPal does nothing to try and help you recover it.
