Let me set all of your other false assumptions straight right here and now.
1. "If the ring was cracked they were obviously trying to work out a solution for you."
No. ZALES lied about cracking the stone to begin with, then tried to deny they did so and then refused to replace the ring when I told them I didn't trust in their abilities or ethics to repair the ring properly - which I was right about.
A. I then took the ring to a REAL jeweler who wrote out a statement confirming that the stone was damaged due to Zales' alteration of the ring.
After presenting this document AND the CONTRACT from ZALES to the store manager for the 3rd time - she told me her regional manager would need to SEE the ring, that it would need replaced. I told her that he could be SHOWN the ring ONLY and that NO REPAIRS WERE TO BE MADE. Her regional manager came to her store - STOLE MY RING AND DESTROYED THE MOUNTING!!!!!
I came back to the store to get my ring and was lied to about where the ring was. It was not allowed off the premises. The first story was that the VP of their repair company had the ring, her second story was that her regional manager had the ring. NEITHER HAD PERMISSION TO TAKE MY RING! STOLEN PROPERTY!!!!!!!!! I told her I was going to call the police if they didn't get my ring to me immediately and told her that there had BETTER NOT BEEN ANY REPAIRS DONE. She LIED and said that there hadn't been.
I then went to the police station and told them that Zales was in the process of stealing my ring and that they might be in the process of damaging the ring.
Then a couple of days later I went back for the ring ( they did not call ) I picked up the ring, it had a piece of glass in it, in the place where my beautiful and expensive stone once was - AND they DESTROYED the mounting.
This ring was NEVER bought at Zales to begin with. I went in there to get it sized that is all.
Now as per your ridiculous comments about your level of income and education, which you think somehow trumps my level of education and income - that makes not one wit of difference to me, you are no more than a pompous dork trying to salvage the reputation of those who behave criminally!
Do not lecture me about stones and jewelry - I know more about both than you do. The simple proof that I know more than you is this fact - YOU SHOP AT ZALES, and anyone with a brain, education, or a wallet fat enough would NEVER BUY THEIR JEWELRY THERE. I made the mistake of thinking they could handle a simple SIZING - but they couldn't even get that right and that's why I'm on this board!
And as far as being thrown out of a mall goes - do you really think I give a crap about that happening? You are so lame - ZALES is being investigated by the SEC for restating their 2008 and 2009 earnings, in other words - they're suspected of dishonesty .... ahem no wonder. Also, Zales has ruined their reputation because they can't get the customers they've burned to shop there anymore.
Now guess what? I have two rings in my possession now - the ring that Zales ruined and the replica of that very same ring. I've got all the documentation - and the cops have my police report about it.
Nobody but Zales vomits out the kind of lecture you just attempted to give.
I can win this case in a court of law - and I can prove everything I've said without a shadow of a doubt. Now guess what else? I'm ENTITLED for what they have cost me in jewelry AND PROOF to tell people about the experiences I've had along with thousands of other people!
Here's something else for you to know - It's irresponsible for you to go around pretending to be a satisfied customer and misleading the public!
