To anyone who can help:
I am a current student with International School of Gemology. My instructor was the or one of the gemologists who first indicated that the Andesine Labradorite that Jewelry Television was selling was a fraud. I purchased my first Andesine-labradorite late 2005 and continued to purchase more Andesine-labradorite for over a year. I have thousands of dollars tied up in this stone. Now the gemstone is fairly useless as far as the reason for the purchase of the stone. I purchased the stone solely for the purpose of an investment. Multiple hosts indicated that this gemstone would be a wise investment. The company also indicated that they had proof of the stones legitimacy of being unheated and natural. Without a gemology education I was knowledgeable enough to know that natural unheated gemstones would eventually sell at a premium. I have not heard of the gemological laboratory that certified this gemstone as being natural and unheated. Why hasn't the Name of the gemological laboratory been revealed? Wouldn't Jewelry Television want the Name of this company to be revealed to clear them of any wrong doing? Is the gemological laboratory as guilty of fraud as Jewelry Television? The next question is was there a gem lab at all? In the JCK article that was posted in May of 2008, it was stated by Jerry Sisk that they did in fact send Andesine-labradorite to a gem testing lab. JTV needs to give up the name all ready... They are at fault as JTV. Is there any merit in a lawsuit because I am out what money that I put into this gemstone and any chance of ever getting rid of my bad apples. This is the biggest scandal that has ever hit the gemological world. How will anyone ever believe a gemologist again. They need to be reprimanded and the customers need to feel that this is not the norm for jewelry and gemstone sales practices!
THE GEMOLOGICAL AND JEWELRY INDUSTRY HAS BEEN GREATLY FRACTURED BY THIS INCIDENT!
What I at least want from JTV is to have the $1800.00 per ct. THIS IS WHAT THEY INDICATED AS THE VALUE AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE.. I think that is fair. I don't care if they have to sue the Gemological Laboratory for the recovery of the money they have lost...
JTV doesn't care that we have lost money and time. I could have had the money in a cd and at least made a 5% return.
Sincerely,
JTV EX-JUNKIE
